Rene Benet is a hat maker and wants Richard Diamond to prevent the theft of his three latest creations, which he thinks are going to be stolen before his Fall showing. It has happened twice before and two weeks later his rival George Mason had his showing and Rene’s hats were the highpoint of his show. Rene could do nothing to prove that Mason had stolen his designs. Rene suspects his partner Gerald Winters of stealing the designs. Richard Diamond arrives at Rene’s salon posing as a Hollywood hat designer.
