The city of Oakmont, California is deeply concerned these days with an election for mayor. Among the candidates is a young lawyer named Andrew Hale, who represents the Reform Party ticket, and likely wouldn't stand a chance, until he meets the man who really runs Oakmont. 

It's the last play of the season, starring June Allyson and Dick Powell.
