This story involves the work of federal law enforcement officers’ with whom the police department at all times cooperated. Robert Simms a fellow at a bank has made friends with a Frank Barton businessman and client of his bank. While at a party given by Frank he clocks a beautiful woman only to discover that Frank is having an affair with the woman. Frank tries to explain his position to Robert and then Robert confides in Frank that he is in a tricky situation at the bank due to him stealing a thousand dollars from the bank. Between them they weave a terrible web, which will culminate with the death of a woman and the two men’s incarceration.
