It was Molly Gordon’s birthday and she knit everyone a pair of red mittens, her husband Ned Gordon, her daughter Jane, Lucky Martin, Bill Anderson and sergeant Preston. Later when Red James is found murdered one red mitten is found in the snow near his body. Clever King knows exactly who the mitten belongs to and so uncovers who committed the murder.
