This ghost story begins with Joel and Jane Trent, early twenties, married eight months starting out in life with a future unlimited except the present unfortunate necessities of counting every penny to make life work and to live in some dignity and comfort. Then came a fabulous break or what seem a fabulous break, that marvellous ad in the classified section of the Sunday Chronicle for an eminent desirable flat for the right couple off Central Park and for only $200 a month. They think they’ll be fighting the line for the apartment but in fact it is only advertised in
their paper as it is they the ghost wants, the ghost that is a real printer's devil…
