Racket Murder Case, The

The Racket Murder Case began with the finding of the body of George Cummings owner of a small men’s shop. In searching for a reason for his death Philo Vance and District Attorney Markham found another shopkeeper who admitted he was about to do something illegitimate to two individuals but refused either to name them or the racket. Vance is certain he knows who killed Cummings but admits he has no proof.
