Miss Jane Elliott is concerned that her fiancé Chris Arnold is terribly ill, as he is desperately afraid of something. It all began two years ago at a party when he met enticingly beautiful Rana Farouk. Within months they were married and then he came to see her for what she really was, vain, selfish and intensely possessive. She surrounded herself with cats and was always whispering to them. She refused to give him a divorce and told him she was his and would always be his and no one else’s. Everywhere he went there always seemed to be cats following him. Even after her death Rana seemed to be alive as a black cat that was trying to prevent Chris marrying Jane. Chris Arnold thought he was going mad.
