As the Lone Ranger rode by on Silver he said that he was riding towards the town of Green Tree. A number of mysterious thefts have been committed in the town, the identity of the thief was unknown but suspicion points towards twenty-year-old Paul Williams who was employed in the local bank by Jason Rudd. The story begins as Williams returns home from the bank and is attempting to comfort his mother who has heard the unbelievable news.
