They make a nice looking couple, Mary Ellen Mellan and Jeffrey Pollard. They look like typical students in this large university town. Typical students out on a typical student date - they have taken in a movie, and now Jeffrey has parked in front of "Sparkles", a popular hamburger hangout. Suddenly, two young men appear, seemingly out of nowhere. They wear stocking masks, making identification impossible.
