We heard the Lone Ranger call out that the old feud between the raisers of cattle and the raisers of sheep was causing trouble. Maggie Martin was the leader of the group that kept sheep on the range. She was a woman of strong character and ruled the sheep herders with an iron hand and kept the ranchers from grasping the entire range land for themselves and it was due to her influence alone that open warfare had not broken out between the two factions.
