Daniel De Bragah is planning to kill the president and all the government and hires an Irishman for ten thousand pounds to do the deed by blowing up the chambers under the Presidents' bedroom. He believes that the president an old man is nothing but an old fool who makes no decisions for himself and must be murdered so that he can take over and rule with Sophia, the woman he plans to marry and take as his President's Lady. However Sophia does not want any part of his quest for power gained by committing murder.
