Well, the day of Pine Ridge's first art exhibition is fast approaching, but it looks as though Lum's desire to announce his engagement to his artist colleague, Mabel Melrose, will not be a feature of the exhibit. Well, not unless he becomes a bolder suitor that what he has proven so far! As we look in on the little community today, it's evening and we find Abner, Cedric and Grandpappy Spears, putting up the paintings in the school house in preparation for the exhibit.
