It’s 1890 in Custer country where General George A Custer made his last stand in Montana, only these days it’s pretty peaceful in Laurel Run. The most exciting thing that happens here is the daily arrival of the mail stage, not that most folks here are about to get any letters but just the same every cowboy, cowhand, ranger and rancher somehow show up when the mail stage passes through.
Could it be because the postmaster is a woman? Yep that’s a fact the postmaster at Laurel Run is Postmistress, Mrs Betty Baker, a widow and a mighty pretty one...
