The fifth day of Cedric's breach of promise trial is now over and things are looking quite encouraging for the plaintiff Winifred Redfield and her counsel, Squire Skimp. Cedric's performance on the witness stand lessened his chances for a favorable verdict quite considerably. As we look in on the little community today, we find the Justice of the Peace,Lum Edwards and attorney Abner Peabody back in the store and library after a hard lunch hour in court.
