It was three o’clock in the morning when Harvey received a long distance call from Pittsburgh from his brother Alan. It was news to his wife Helen that he had a brother and Harvey explained his reason for not telling her. Alan had killed his wife and had been committed to a hospital for the criminal insane. He escaped four years ago and Harvey had given him every cent of money he had at the time so long as he never heard from again but now it seemed he had blackmail in his blood.
