Martha has spent years looking after her sick Aunt Abby. For years she has put up with her complaints, her grumbling, and her bad temper. Throughout these years she has seen her life pass her by and her looks slowly fade until she thinks no man could possibly want her. One day a young man turns up. Neil turns out to be the son of Aunt Abby’s second husband. He’s a writer and he is seeking funds so that he can live a leisurely and focus on his writing. Aunt Abby agrees to give him half her estate when she dies with the other half going to Martha. Soon after agreeing she dies from a suspected heart attack, but is it quite so straight-forward. Could she if been murdered? And if so was it Martha or Neil or could somebody else have been involved in the death.
