Pepe Vergo is an Italian-American citizen. He was employed by the Municipal Packing Plant but was discharged when a health inspector accuses him of being a carrier of typhoid and of starting an epidemic in Ogden County. Losing his job denies him of a livelihood and he is left with no alternative than to clear his name in court.
