Penny's foster parents, Jed and Grace Billings, have left Rossville for Mapleton where Jed has been offered an important job. Johnny Keith, who has taken over Jed's business in Rossville also promised Jed and Grace that he would watch over Penny too - and so this evening her doorbell rings.
