The Peacock Murder Case opened when Philo Vance found the body of David Peacock immediately after Peacock had reported his burglar proof safe had been opened and the strongbox inside rifled. Vance meets the dead man’s niece, Polly and her friend Junior and discovers that Polly always carries a gun.
