Honest Harold learns from the morning newspaper that his boss Stanley Peabody is being transferred to a similar position at the radio station in Charliville. Harold thinks that he should be the person to take his place but discovers that the job has been given to P. B. Peabody. Harold hates him already and decides to go and tell him he’s quitting only to discover after insulting the lady who answers the door that she is P.B. Peabody, Penelope Brittingham Peabody, Stanley’s beautiful sister.

At the end of the program there is an Honesty Award given by Harold Peary to a most deserving young individual.
