Lou Barker, much to the surprise of the prison officials, had been a model prisoner. Three years had passed since he'd been sentenced. Three years which had seemed a lifetime to the morose and silent gangster. But now Barker was reaping the reward for his good behavior - a parole. As the huge outer gate clanked shut behind him and as he walked slowly toward a waiting car his thoughts were not those of a man just regaining his freedom . He was thinking rather of revenge.
