Sergeant Kinelley is on police patrol when his police car is stopped by a man outside a bar, The man went in the bar and immediately recognised a red- haired man who had held him up and robbed him three weeks earlier. He was afraid of the man as he had said he had a gun. Sergeant Kinelley and police officer Coley arrest the man but he denies being responsible for the mugging and the other crimes like it that have been committed lately. Sergeant Kinelley arranges a line-up of red-haired officers along with the accused to see if the man can still identify him.
