Our author today is General Robert Wood Johnson, who during the war served as an officer in the United States Army Ordinance, and as Vice Chairman of the War Production Board, and Chairman of the Smaller War Plants Corporation. General Johnson devoted a lifetime to industry, government and public affairs, and in his book, Or Forfeit Freedom, he makes an eloquent plea for the preservation of the democratic system of private enterprise.
