Two men stood on the porch of the headquarters building at the Ace Gold Mine Company, outside of Dawson City. The cold winds whipped about them as they listened to Frank Ames, the company manager, who stood in the doorway. Jim Oakden and Ned Wilson had put plenty of faith in mining at that location, but they'd also put in plenty of hard work too before it started paying off.
