Lum and Abner are convinced in their own minds that the diamonds they had in their safekeeping are the stolen property of a Mrs J. Simpson Barrington of Kansas City, Missouri. Lum wrote her day before yesterday advising her that they now have the diamonds and after learning that she’s a wealthy widow enclosed a picture of him in the hope that it might spark a romance.
