Energy is something we hear a great deal about these days. The kind of energy provided by oil and coal that is. We hear debates as to how much of these precious substances are left, some say supplies are virtually unlimited. Others say we will run out in two to three hundred years, and the more dire prophets claim a mere twenty five years. Whatever the figures, one thing is certain, as the situation becomes more urgent, some of those looking for new reserves are not going to let anything stand in their way. The year is 1998, and we're at a drilling site on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains...
