On Christmas Eve in 1886 Dr Watson was standing in their Baker Street room dressed as Santa Claus. Dr Watson is going to their housekeeper Mrs Hudson’s little nieces house as their father is in hospital and her sister is by his bedside. Just as he is leaving Lord Widdicombe arrives but this time rather than as a friend of Sherlock Holmes, as a client. Tonight he is having a party and he usually dresses up as Santa Claus to distribute his very expensive valuable presents. However this year he has received a warning letter and asks Sherlock Holmes to be Santa Claus.
