A love story as everlasting as time with two academy award nominees, Jimmy Stewart and Eleanor Parker. Jimmy Stewart recreates his original 1936 film role as Chris Tyler a Foreign Correspondent, and Eleanor Park plays the role of his wife Cicely Tyler a stage actress. Their careers were both a success but then when Chris's job meant him going to England Cicely decides not to follow him wanting to keep her own career. Deeply in love there should be no reason why their marriage and love can't survive the separation. But the real reason Cecily doesn't want to go to England is because she is expecting their baby and doesn't want to stop Chris from following his ambitions. Chris returns from England when the baby is born and misses a scoop and loses his job. Chris's best friend Tommy, played by Gerald Mohr, wants to help his friends, secretly in love with Cicely, but only ends up hurting them both. Next Time We Love is sentimental, warm, tender and above all human.
