Molly Goldberg and her family find themselves in the strange position of taking care of a little boy who speaks only French. The child was left there by a woman to who Molly gave shelter, but she has left the child with a note, saying that as soon as she can find work, she will come back for him. Fortunately, Dr Cater speaks French fluently and has come over for a conversation with the little boy, David.
