The phone company service man has just left 79 Wistful Vista where he installed an extension on the telephone. Fibber McGee and Molly are in the upstairs hall admiring it. Molly is delighted with it. When the doorbell rings Molly goes down to answer the door to Doc. Confusion ensues when Molly goes to the kitchen, the phone rings and Doc thinks he is being helpful by answering it. Fibber has also answered on the upstairs extension and thinks that the Doc has phoned them and not the Old Timer. Fibber decides they need to make some rules for answering the phone!
