It is early September in a small, American city. Russ Spencer, recently discharged from the army after World War II, is enjoying the novel experience of helping his pretty, young wife give their son his morning bath, while they discuss their future together. Russ' education ended when he enlisted, so now his wife is determined for her husband to get himself an education using the recently introduced G I Bill of Rights.
