After the New Year, Margaret always says to her husband, 'have you thought about where to go in August?' and of course I always say no. Then she starts looking through advertisements for bungalows to let. As it turned out, on a miserable day in February, Margaret informed me that she had booked a bungalow in Norfolk. It was dark and late when we arrived at the bungalow, but there was a lady there to welcome us. There were fires burning in the hearth and she'd even cooked us a steak! How delightful it seemed...
