Sam Perry entered the cafe in Dawson City, and stood a moment watching the crowd. Finally, his eyes rested upon a man sitting at one of the tables with two companions. Sam walked slowly through the crowd, and as he approached the table the man at whom he'd been staring looked up. Then, without taking his eyes off Sam, he spoke to the two men sitting with him.
