As the masked man rode by on Silver we heard him say that the outlaw in the hills were threatening to ride again. The hills bordering the town of Greenville made a perfect hiding place for the outlaws that operated in that territory. Cavalry troops were garrisoned nearby but their presence failed to frighten the bandits.
