Wealthy John Austin is found murdered in the middle of a field. He has not been carried there or hit by anything or anyone who went through the field. Jim Saunders, flyer fiancé of Austin’s daughter Alice has fought bitterly with the dead man and the landing gear of his plane is damaged. Jim however, claims his plane was in Toronto at the time of his death.
