Arnold Ransom wakes up  with a hangover and ends up in a fight with his wife Sally when she tells him that her father doesn't want him working at his jewelry store anymore. Arnold confronts his father-in-law about his decision then a man comes in the store and robs them at gunpoint and Mr Haydon is almost killed. Mr and Mrs North who are good customers of Hayden's jewelers arrive on the scene and Mr Haydon tells them he is afraid that his son-in-law is trying to kill him. He tells them it wasn't the stick-up guy who coshed him on the head but that it was Arnold.
