Ed Jeffers runs a well ordered business in a strictly business like manner. But what his company sells is murder. Police and Boston Blackie are sure of Jeffers' activities but cannot prove murder against him because they have no evidence and the bodies of six men his firm has allegedly killed cannot be found. Unable to make headway with the baffling case Blackie apparently drops the matter to settle a personal difference with wealthy John Gardener.
