An exciting story of murder, mystery and intrigue.

In London Mrs Barham rushes frantically to her neighbor Mr Broadman who is a retired Scotland Yard policeman and detective. She tells him that Mr Eric Constance, her new boarder is dead. When they break in to his room, which is locked from the inside they discover him with his throat slashed. However there is no sign of Mr Constance's razor blade so how could he have killed himself and if he was murdered how did the killer get out of he locked room?

At the end of the story actor Claude Rains who was born in London and became a naturalised American patriotically tells us why he loves America.
