The man who couldn't be sentenced lived in an age long gone by, and in a country still called Monaco - tiny, independent, and known the world over for its gambling casino, Monte Carlo. Monaco citizens are called Monegasques, and they have a king, ministers, and even an army of sixty soldiers and one general - but who needs an army when no-one is going to attack you.
