The London night was hot and the narrow crooked streets deserted and quiet except for the sound of laughter drifting out of the Lion and Horse inn. Inside the smoke filled pub Russ Anders formerly of St Louis, Missouri sat alone at one of the tables and his mood was anything but jovial as he puffed nervously on a cigarette and glanced from time to time toward the street exit.
