Mr. Deed Goes to Town was voted the best comedy of 1936 by the New York critics a well deserved feather in the cap of Columbian Pictures and director Frank Capra. The story begins in the little town of Mandrake Falls with a population of 600 country folk where two men clearly city folk, have arrived to see Mr. Deed. One of the men is an attorney who has come with the news that Mr. Deed has been left $20,000,000.
