The Lone Ranger and Tonto were riding at a slow gait through the moonlit night. Just ahead lay a small house with a number of broken windows, and a front door that hung on one hinge. The place looked deserted, but if there was fresh water available in the trough, they could fill their canteens. Soon, they heard the sound of a woman, crying "don't shoot, don't kill me, don't do it.". The poor woman was traumatized and in shock, and she had a very bad gunshot wound. The Lone Ranger immediately headed off to find a doctor at the next town...
