The snow has been falling heavy and is all over the porch and sidewalk outside the McGees house. Molly tells Fibber that she lost a diamond earring on the way home from the movies last night, one of a pair that he gave her for their tenth wedding anniversary. Fibber decides decides to shovel the snow in the hope of finding Molly's earring and he does find it, right in the last shovel of snow.
