The Mistletoe murder case began with the finding of the body of rich Simon Joyce, victim of a hit and run driver of Mistletoe Road. Philo Vance is working on the case as is an FBI representative named Stevens called in by James Evans a nephew whose sister Sally Evans later tried to smother him. The dead mans fortune went to his brother and business partner Bernard Joyce from whose office Philo Vance informed Attorney Markham he knew who had killed Simon Joyce but couldn’t prove it…
