Dan Reid and Tonto had camped near the town of Palmerly. Dan had remained in the camp while Tonto went out to wait by the trail for the masked man. It was late afternoon when the Indian returned. There was a smile of approval on Tonto's face, when he saw that Dan had kept busy during his absence.
