Miss Spalding is having a party and everyone in class is invited along with their wives. Luigi has no wife to bring so Shultz suggests that he brings Rosa to which Luigi replies that if he so much as talks to Rosa twice in one day Pasquale is printing the wedding invitations! Luigi takes Pasquale to the party and Pasquale takes every opportunity to remind Luigi of his home country and how he and Rosa are meant to be as they are from the same town in Italy. There is Italian food and their friend Ralph sings Italian opera. By the end of the party Luigi is happy to see Rosa and be reminded of his roots but Pasquale once again fails to convince Luigi to marry his daughter!
