Linda wanted to speak to Carl about his being unsocial and when he invited her for a walk along the beach it was the perfect opportunity. But Carl was a businessman and was always busy with work. The irony of it was that Carl wanted to talk to Linda about her burning the social candle at both ends. Then as they noticed the lack of moonlight Carl and Linda thought they noticed something at the waters edge, a drunken man perhaps but as the moon came from behind the cloud the thought it was an old man writing in the sand, but what was he writing?
