J. B Kendall is on the stagecoach to Cheyenne. There are two other passengers on the stage, a man named Burnaby who spent all his time reading the bible and a miner named Clark returning home to Illinois with his $5000 fortune. A short way in to the journey six riders hold-up the coach, Clark loses his gold and J.B. loses $20. Later they discover they were robbed by a famous wanted outlaw.
