Two telephone operators discuss the irate people who call demanding to be connected, and their rudeness when the calls can't connect if the person on the other line is busy or engaged. When another call comes to the operator from another irate customer, demanding to be put through to an airline reservations clerk, the operator and clerk discover how their lives 'tie up'.
