Marshall For A Day

Marshall For A Day

Broadcast: 30th May 1951
Added: Jul 31 2010

Honest Harold offers to stand in for his friend Pete and be the deputy marshal for the day. There is only one prisoner to watch over an awful nice fellow named Clarence who is serving 30 days for robbing a cellar. Clarence manages to pick his way out of his cell and spins Harold a yarn about it being his mother’s birthday and how he always spends the day with his mother. Honest Harold decides to let him go visit his mother and even gives him $5 for the bus fare and a present providing he is back by six o’clock.

At the end of the program there is an Honesty Award given by Harold Peary to a most deserving young individual.
